Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

What is Acupuncture?

Chinese Medicine is a holistic system of healing that has been practiced for over thousands of years. It views the body as an interconnected system, where physical, emotional and mental health are all connected.

Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to support circulation, regulate the nervous system and restore balance. The goal is to help the body return to a state where it can heal and function more effectively.

What Can It Help With?

Acupuncture can support a wide range of concerns, including:

  • stress and anxiety
  • pain and tension
  • headaches and migraines
  • chronic pain (back, neck, shoulder, knee)
  • fertility support
  • fatigue and low energy
  • emotional balance (grief, overwhelm, burnout)
  • immune support (getting sick often)
  • digestive issues
  • allergies & sinus issues
  • TMJ & jaw tension
  • sleep concerns
  • menstrual issues (cramps, irregular cycles, PMS)
  • overall wellness and prevention
  • hormonal balance

Acupuncture supports the body’s natural ability to heal, restore balance and come back into alignment; physically, emotionally and energetically. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this medicine looks at patterns in the body to support long-term healing.

What to Expect

A session typically begins with a conversation about your health, lifestyle, and current concerns. Taking your pulses, looking at your complexion and at your tongue. While every practitioner has their own preferences and works a little differently, they all have the same groundwork. This allows for a personalized approach based on your needs.

Treatment may include acupuncture, along with supportive techniques such as cupping or gua sha, moxibustion (heat therapy), or lifestyle guidance.

Many people find sessions deeply relaxing and leave feeling more grounded, calm and clear. Every session is different depending on  your pulses and if anything has changed since your previous appointment.

 My Approach

As a student of Classical Chinese Medicine, I am continuing to deepen my understanding of this medicine and how it can support long-term, holistic healing.

My current work is rooted in Mexican healing traditions, reiki and spiritual care, while my studies in Chinese Medicine continue to expand the way I understand the body, balance and healing.
